C. VIBIUS C.F.C.N. Pansa Caetronianus, (48 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.682 grams), obv. young Bacchus to right wearing ivy wreath, PANS[A] behind, rev. Ceres walking to right, with two outstretched torches, plough before, C.VIBIVS C.F.C.N. behind, (cf.S.313 [£120], Cr.449/2, Syd.946, B.Vibia 16 [£50]). Attractive patina, with obverse and reverse scratches, good very fine and scarce.
With old Seaby ticket c.1968, priced 80/-.
