PEACE TREATY FOR THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR, 1899-1900, in silver (70mm) by E. Fuchs (BHM 3876; Eimer 1850), obverse, angel tending fallen soldier, flag lying across his body, reverse, helmeted figure of Bellona standing on ridge below which is passing a column of troops, a solar disc inscribed PAX (Peace) rising over a distant hill. Struck from well used dies, very fine and scarce in silver.
