MAN. AEMILIUS LEPIDUS, (114-113 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (4.00 g), obv. Roma laureate and diademed head to right, ROMA before, * behind, rev. equestrian statue on triumphal arch, LEP between arches, MN. AEMILIO around, (S.168, Cr.291/1, Syd.554, RSC Aemilia 7). Attractively toned, very fine and very scarce.

It is speculated that the triple arch on the reverse represents either the Aqua Marcia or a triumphal arch erected in honour of an ancestor.
