PHOENICIAN OR EGYPTIAN WEIGHT, struck on a rectangular flan in lead, 16x20mm, (12.59 g) (of Egyptian tetradrachm weight or two shekels), with four inscribed circles both sides, suggesting a tetradrachm weight. Very fine and rare.

Ex Bonhams, London April 20, 2011 (lot 574 part).
Engraved ornamental circles were also used on weights during the Byzantine and Islamic periods.
