CIGARETTE CASE, sterling silver (H.92mm, W.63mm, D.16mm, 78g), hallmarked H.C.F. (Henry Charles Freeman) Birmingham, 1889, engraved monogram HCD on front; back of case engraved 'Horace C.Davis/From/Colonel Colville Frankland/(late Royal Dublin Fusiliers)/In Grateful Recognition/of his having/saved his son's life from drowning/Off Eastbourne Pier/9th August 1893'. Some dents on case, very good.
