JUSTINIAN II, (685-695 First Reign), gold solidus, (4.34 g), struck at Constantinople mint, I Officina, issued 687-692, Class II, obv. draped larger facing bust holding globe on cross, with short beard, wearing crown, with cross and circlet on crown, around IUSTINIA NUS PE AV, rev. Cross potent on three steps, around VICTORIA AVGUI, (S.1243, DOC [2], unlisted for Officina). Rough surface with many surface marks, mounted, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.
