SICILY, Gela, (c. 490-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.71 g), obv. naked horseman to right wearing crested helmet, galloping right brandishing spear held high in his hand, rev. man headed bull to right with long beard, to right and above **GELA*, (S.713, Jenkins Group I, 8 (obv 7, rev. 10), examples in Gela hoard). Lightly toned, with interesting obverse and reverse die cracks, otherwise good very fine, scarce.
