George Edmund Challis, junior clerk, age 18, born at West Melbourne, Vic; Enl.14Apr1916, at Melbourne, Vic, previous service of 3 years with Senior Cadets and 9 months with Citizen Forces; Emb.16Aug1916; accidentally injured while training 20Dec1916; MIA 11Apr1917 at Bullecourt and after Court of Inquiry declared KIA; commemorated at Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
