CARIA, Carian Islands, Cos (Kos), silver reduced drachm (Sear), silver tetrobol (Kroll MN 11), (167-88 B.C.), (2.35 g), obv. Laureate head of Asklepios to right, rev. Coiled serpent in incuse square below, KOI, to left NIKOMH and to right OKY**FL*H for **Q*EY**F*AN, trace of letter **D* below, (S.5004 var., BMC - [but spec. in colln. of same magistrates], Paris Inventory 1215, cf.Von Aulock 2762 [Pl.88], See Kroll 18 [MN XI, 1964, p.110]. Attractive tone, nearly extremely fine and very rare with the unpublished spelling.
