AUSTRALIAN ROYAL MAIL CO PERCUSSION PISTOL, by Westley Richards London, circa 1840, 9.25" barrel with captive ram rod, brass cap under barrel near muzzle, belt hook opposite fitted, checkered top of hammer, brass fittings around the trigger and as a butt cap, engraving of 'Westley Richards London' on the barrel and engraved on the lock plate 'Australian Royal Mail Co'. In near excellent condition, a very rare pistol.
