ATTICA, Athens, (460-455 B.C.), silver obol, (0.71 g), issue c.440-430 B.C., obv. head of Athena to right wearing ivy crested helmet, eye in profile, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, olive twig and crescent behind, to right, **AQE, all in incuse square, (S.2524, Starr Group IV, [Pl. XXIV, n], Sv.Pl.10, 38-47, SNG Cop. 26); Macedon, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 15, half unit, (3.91 g), uncertain Macedonian mints, obv. head of Apollo to right hair bound with tainia, rev. naked youth on horse prancing right, **FILIPPOU* above, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 975-978). Both with filed edges, otherwise first coin well centred, good very fine/very fine; second coin very fine, both rare. (2)
