MACEDON, kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.014 grams), Colophon mint, issued 323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, lyre in lower left field, B under throne, to right **[F]ILIPPOU, (cf.S.6751, Price P45, BMC P45, M.P52). Toned, nearly very fine, scarce variety.
