CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), AE as, issued 215, Rome Mint, (11.43g), obverse, laureate bust, draped and cuirassed to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, reverse, Aesculapius standing facing, holding serpent-entwined wand, globe on ground, around P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P, (S.6996, RIC 553a, C.304, BMC 489); Galerius Valerius Maximinus II (A.D. 309-313), AE follis, issued early 312, Thessalonica Mint (5.59g), obverse, laureate head to right of Maximinus, around MAXIMINVS PF AVG, reverse, Jupitor standing facing heas left, holding globe and leaning on sceptre, wreath to left, B to right, around IOVI CONSE RVATORI, SMTS. in exergue (S.14866, RIC 50a, C.113). Both coins with collector's ticket, second coin with some silvering and attractive patina, nearly very fine - nearly extremely fine. (2)
