BORNEO, (Malaysia, Brunei), brass cannon money, 220mm, 1075 grams, diameter 26-40mm, late 19th century early 20th century, with one fish handle on top, used for trading purposes, barter of goods, payment of fines and in engagement and wedding ceremonies (Opitz [2000 edn.] p.100 as illustrated). Very fine, with light oxidation, very scarce.
