NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE as, Rome mint, issued c.A.D. 65, (10.58 g), obv. bare head of Nero to right, around NERO CAESAR AVG GERM IMP, rev. S C across, Victory flying left holding in both hands shield inscribed SPQR, (S.1976, RIC 312, BMC 241). Attractive brown patina with a portrait of character and force, very fine and scarce.
