GROUP OF SEVEN: Distinguished Flying Cross (EIIR) copy; 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; Italy Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45, First medal unnamed, P.J.T.Pile No 420416 F/L R.A.A.F. on second to fourth medals, last three medals unnamed. Named medals engraved. Fine - very fine.
Together with ribands for above medals plus Air Crew Europe Star; RAAF embroidered dress Pilot's Wings (KC); RAAF bronze shoulder eagle and KC; RAAF bronze cuff eagle and KC; Australia embroidered shoulder title; RAAF wings (KC) sweetheart brooch.
DFC: LG 29/8/1944, p4014, posn 6; CAG 29/8/1944, p2083, posn 31, to Pilot Officer P.J.T.Pile 104Sqn RAAF, for high standard of skill and bravery in mine laying, presented by Governor General at Admiralty House, Sydney, NSW 21Jan1948.
