BELGIUM, a large portfolio of award certificates and many other official documents and papers covering the life and service, both war and post war periods, mostly in French text, noted one for Cross of Honour of the Brave Resistance Snipers in Silver from the French Resistance Forces, certificate no.46 dated 16 November 1946, many other documents for decorations, awards and association awards, more than 35 including some Polish and Italian, a very large and most impressive portfolio; also copies of the Moniteur, a national newspaper, which features his name and some of his awards, and various ID cards with his photo. Antoine-Henri Beenkens, military service 02Jan1920 to 30Nov1921 8th Line Regt, Belgian Army of Occupation; 1939 to May1940, Commandant of the Civil Territorial Guard, industrial region of sea canal Brabant; 1940 to 1945, liaison officer of clandestine Belgian and French groups; 1945 to 1946 attache to the State Major of King's Civil Territorial Guard with rank of Major; demobilised Jun1946; as well as being involved with the resistance movement, he was also involved with many patriotic groups, holding a senior position with most.
