TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.52 g), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around [TI CAESA]R DIVI AVG F AVGVST[VS], rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.1763, RIC 30, RSC 16a, BMC 48, H.916 [304]). Off centred obverse, fine.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from M.R.Roberts retail sale in packet described.
Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
