NERO, (A.D. 54-68), silver denarius, issued c.66-67, Rome mint, (3.20 g), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, rev. Jupiter seated left on throne, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, IVPPITER CVSTOS around, (S.1943, RIC 64, BMC p.210 note, RSC 121). Dull grey patina, good fine with edge faults.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from M.R.Roberts retail sale in packet described.
