BALBINUS, (238 A.D.), silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, (3.56 g), obv. Radiate bust to right, of Balbinus, draped and cuirassed seen from in front, around IMP CAES D CAEL BALBINVS AVG, rev. FIDES MVTVA AVGG around, two clasped hands, (S.8485, RIC 11, BMC 71-73, C.6). Flan crack, lightly toned, otherwise good very fine, rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3849) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
