MAXIMIANUS, (A.D. 286-305 first reign), AE follis, Aquileia mint, issued A.D. 298, (9.79 g), obv. laureate head of Maximianus to right in high relief, around IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG,, rev. around GENIO POPV LI ROMANI, Genius standing to left, modius on head, holding patera over tripod-altar and cornucopiae, AQP in exergue, (S.13252, RIC 27b). Extremely fine a trace of silvering and scarce.
