CONSTANTIUS II, (A.D. 337-361), gold solidus, Nicomedia mint, issued 340-351, (4.54 g), obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed to right, around FL IVL CONSTANTIVS PERP AVG, rev. Roma and Constantinopolis seated enthroned facing, each support between them a shield inscribed VOT/XX/ MVLT/XXX around legend GLORIA REI PVBLICAE, in exergue SMNS, (cf.S.17734, RIC 31 [R3], C.108). Good extremely fine and about as struck, very rare.
