DUKE OF WELLINGTON'S VICTORIES, 22 of a 26 miniature medal set by Thomason & Jones, each in brass (15mm), obverse features Victory left holding a laurel wreath and a sword and with the legend, 'By The Mercy Of God', reverse, the name and date of each of the Duke of Wellington's victories, contained in a brass tube inscribed on the side, 'British Victories in the Peninsula' and featuring a bust of Wellington facing left on the lid and on the base, 'First/Battle,/Portugal,/Aug.17.1808/Last Battle,/France,/Ap.10.1814'. Very fine - extremely fine. (22)
