INTERCOLONIAL EXHIBITION, Victoria, 1866-67, in bronze (220mm), uniface electrotype by C.Summers, special medal awarded to 'C. Maplestone', struck in relief. Mounted in a wall-hanging, circular wooden frame with glazed cover, the frame with a few chips, the medal with streaks in the field from cleaning otherwise extremely fine.

Charles Maplestone of Telegraph Station, Williamstwon, Victoria was awarded a medal in the category of Agricultural and Horticultural Machines and Implements and Cooperage. He also received an Honourable Mention in the category of Bottled Fruits and Preserves.
