PALESTINE, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, obv. three bound ears of barley, [IOY**L*IA] KAICAPOC around, rev. libation ladle full legend around TIB[EPIOY KAICA]POC LIS, (year 16 = A.D.29), (S.5622, H. 648 [113]). Has been cleaned, edge pitting, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce in this condition.
