MELBOURNE VOLUNTEER ARTILLERY, 1883, large photo album (approx 24x29x7.5cm), with leather cover and side lock (part of this missing), features many photos of soldiers and officers in uniforms, b&w, several pages feature various coloured images of troops as background, a few photos have a name printed on them, inside cover board page ornately decorated in colour with soldiers and the details, 'East Melbourne Volunteer Artillery/Presented to/Sergt. S.C. Lewis/by the Members of his Detachment (some details faded)/(? details faded)/his victory for the/"Champion" Cup/Nov.9th 1883'. Foxing, cover and binding at back edge damaged, some interleave clear protective pages loose, otherwise good.
