OTTOMAN EMPIRE, 17th century, armoured cavalry helmet, a plain shallow domed steel skull plate with chain mail Camail attached to the rim, each ring riveted (height from top to bottom of the chain mail approx 39.5cm). The skull plate with an old repair and two iron plates reinforced, otherwise fine and very rare.

Together with a Certificate of Authenticity No.121136 from Hundred & One Antiques, Toronto, Canada.
