PHOENICIA, Tyre, (c. 2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver shekel or tetradrachm, (12.57 g), Tyre mint, uncertain year of issue but c.40 A.D., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying a palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, to right monogram, around **[TUROU IERAS KAI ASULOU]*, (S.5918, BMC 207, H.1618 [817]). Weakly struck with scratches from cleaning, fine.
