HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, (1.46 g), rev. ION/ON S/EIN/TED, Bury St. Edmunds Mint, (S.1363, N.987/1). Good very fine, weak in places on the legend and very rare.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from Noble Numismatics Sale 60 (lot 3609) and from the Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket (7/6) and illustrated from the supplemenary plate 78 (row 1 no 2), from Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1204 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
