CHARLES I, (1625-1649), contemporary forgery of the silver shilling, c.mid 1640s, mm similar to a tun, coin type is based on a Tower Mint issue, with rev. of a square topped shield over cross moline, (4.79 g), (cf.S.2800 in the style of Group F). Good very fine, full flan (light weight), very rare.
