CHARLES I, (1625-1649), pattern, silver halfgroat or twopence, struck 1640, (1.36 g), obv. rose with large crown above and B below between crowned C R, rev. thistle, crowned CR either side, above a large crown with 1640 below, (S.-, N.2688). Round, toned, good very fine, rare.
