SICILY, Akragas (Agrigentum), (c.520-500 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group I, (8.87 g), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AKR AGVS (retrograde letters) around, rev. crab on plain broad flan, (cf.S.708, Jenkins variety not listed, cf.SNG Cop.27 [Pl.1]. SNG ANS 936 [same obverse die]). Nearly extremely fine and rare, an unusual obverse reading.
