PHRYGIA, Laodikeia, (c.100-90 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.37 g), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to right B and a winged kerykeion, **DIODW / ROU* above, (cf.S.5147, SNG von Aulock 3800, SNG Cop. 487). Toned, very fine.
