TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 16-22, (15.93 g), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to left, around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVST IMP VIII, rev. shield with floral decorations, facing bust of Tiberius at center in wreath, MODERATIONI around, S C to left and right, (S.1768, RIC 39, BMC 90, C.5). Deep old toning, very fine or better with a strong portrait and impressive detail on the reverse, very scarce.
