TITUS, as Caesar, (A.D. 79-81), silver denarius, Rome Mint, issue of A.D. 74-79, (3.44 g), obv. T CAESAR IMP VESPASIANVS, laureate head to right, rev. Mars naked standing to left, holding trophy and spear, COS VI, (S.2439, RIC V196, BMC V222, RSC 66). Attractively toned, extremely fine with a strong portrait.

Ex Neal Archer Collection. Purchased from Spink & Son, 23 July 1993. From a hoard found in Tunisia - as per John Pett. With receipts.
