FAUSTINA JUNIOR (WIFE OF MARCUS AURELIUS), (d.A.D.175), AE sestertius, Rome mint, Posthumous issue, (25.22 g), obv. draped bust of Faustina to right, around DIVA FAV STINA PIA, rev. statue of Faustina, holding sceptre, seated on a decorated car drawn left by two elephants with riders, AETERNITAS around, [SC] below, (S.5225, RIC 1698, C.11). Light brown patina, fine and scarce.

Ex Triton III, lot 1709 (part) and previously the Collection of Cornelius C. Vermeule III with ticket.
