HMS BEAGLE SHIP MODEL, made from timber (L69xW14xH29cm), with masts but without sails, with plastic figures of crew members on board and with a small rowing boat being rowed by a plastic figure of a sailor to the stern of the ship, in a timber and glass display case (L79xW25xH35.5cm). Good very fine.

No mail out for this lot, collection only from Sydney Office, or buyer to make own arrangements.

The Beagle was launched in 1820 and on her first voyage of survey in 1826-1830 she was captained by the Australian Phillip Parker King. On her second voyage around the world in 1831-1836, she carried naturalist Charles Darwin. And on her third voyage from 1837-1843 she surveyed much of the territory in and around Australia.
