SICILY, Gela, (430-425 B.C.), silver litra, (0.46 g), obv. horseman carrying spear and shield to left, rev. forepart of man-headed bull to right, **GELAS* above, (S.797, Jenkins 401ff, SNG Lloyd 977); another (c.420-405 B.C.), AE tetras, 17mm, (3.53 g), obv. Bull to left with barley grain above, three pellets (mark of value) in exergue, **GELAS* above, rev. head of river-god Gelas radiate to right with grain ear behind, (S.1094, HGC 2, 379, CNS III, 20, SNG ANS 112-114). Fine - very fine. (2)
