OCTAVIAN, (36 B.C.), silver denarius, mint moving with Octavian, (3.86 g), obv. bare head of Octavian bearded to right, IMP CAESAR DIVI F III VIR ITER R P C around, rev. around COS ITER ET TER DESIG, Julius Caesar in temple of four columns, frontal inscribed DIVO IVL, altar on left, (S.1545, C.540/2, Syd 1338, BMC Africa 33, RSC Julia 139). Traces of red and gold patination, lightly toned, well centred, very fine/good very fine and rare.
