AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued 16 B.C. by C. Cassius Celer, (15.22 g), obv. AVGVSTVS/ [TRIB]VNIC/ [POTES]T in three lines, with oak wreath between laurel branches, rev. C. CASSIVS CELER III VIR A A A F F around large SC, (S.1660, RIC 375, C.408, CBN 402, BMC 166). Surface oxidation on the obverse, otherwise nearly very fine, and rare.
