CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 213, Rome mint, (3.12 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Hercules naked standing half-left, holding branch and club with lion's skin, around P M TR P XVII COS IIII P P, (cf.S.6828, RIC 239, RSC 244). Toned, nearly extremely fine.
