SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome mint, (3.32 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. SPES P VBLICA, Spes standing to left, holding flower and raising skirt, (S.7927, RIC 254, RSC 546). Toned, full flan, extremely fine, a scarce type and rare in this condition.
