SICILY, Syracuse, Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 23, (9.74 g), obv. bust of Artemis to right, quiver at shoulder behind, before **SWTEIRA*, rev. above and below winged thunderbolt **AGAQOKLEOS / BASILEOS*, (S.1200, BMC 422, Calciati 142, SNG ANS 708). Attractive old green patina, minor surface roughness otherwise extremely fine.
