CARIA, Carian Islands, Rhodes, (c.340-316 B.C.), silver didrachm, (6.69 g), obv. head of Helios three-quarter face to right with hair loose, rev. rose, with bud on right, to left E and a bunch of grapes attached to branch, above **[RODION]* all within incuse square, (S.5037, BMC 27-9 [p.233], SNG Finland 436-440, Ashton 98, SNG Cop 728). Deeply toned, surface porosity, die flaw across chin, otherwise very fine and scarce.
