SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Laodicea ad Mare, Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (13.37 g), issued 212-213, obv. laureate and draped bust of Caracalla to right, around A**U*T KAI ANT**W*NEINOC CE, rev. eagle standing facing, head to left, wreath in beak, between legs star, around **D*HMA**P*X E**X UP*ATOC TO **G*, (S.2656, Prieur 1178, McAlee, Severan Group 5, 38.). Lightly toned, good very fine with an attractive portrait, scarce.
