TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), gold aureus, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 14-15, (7.67 g), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. TR POT XVI, Tiberius in triumphal quadriga to right, holding eagle-tipped sceptre and branch, (S.1762, RIC 1, C.45, Calico 307). Slight die break on obverse above head, nearly extremely fine and rare.
