HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, Rome Mint, issued 136, (3.12 g), obv. bare headed bust to right of Hadrian, around HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, rev. AEGYPTOS around, Egypt reclining left, lotus on head, holding sistrum, resting on basket, ibis before, (cf.S.3382, RIC 297, RSC 106b) (illustrated). Toned, very fine, scarce.
