MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.58 g), issued April - Dec 235, obv. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right of Maximinus, rev. P M TR P P P, Maximinus to left between two military standards holding a spear, (S.8311, RIC 1, RSC 46) (illustrated); another, (2.93 g), rev. VICTORIA AVG around, Victory running to right, holding wreath and palm over left shoulder, (S.8317, RIC 16, BMC 105-7, RSC 99a). Toning, good very fine - nearly extremely fine. (2)
