Toned uncirculated. && Together with Certificate of Service; various paperwork including references, reunion correspondence; 8-page document regarding reconciliation of crews of Sydney and Emden; postcard and also official First Communion card for George Edwards dated May 20, 1897; photos (3 small, 2 large on board ship and 1 large at Sydney-Emden Reunion Dinner 1936); foolscap size booklet of 39 pages issued for 50th Anniversary of Sydney Emden Engagement being a selection of mostly Australian newspaper clippings, includes a few pages of German text articles, issued by the German Embassy. George William Edwards, born 12Feb1881 at Horley, Surrey, England; Joined RN 14Feb1907; served on various ships until joined HMAS Sydney 27Jun1913 and served until 09Feb1917; Certificate of Service records 11Sep1914 Taking of German New Guinea, 09Nov1914 Sydney-Emden Action, 01Dec1916 Emden Prize Bounty paid, also 11Sep1919 Extra Pay for War Service in Royal Australian Navy; Discharged in Sydney after WWI service and Certificate of Service posted to Mr G.W.Edwards at Waverley, Sydney, NSW.
