SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Laodikeia ad Mare, type issued 81-16 B.C., issue dated EK = 57-56 B.C., silver tetradrachm, 28mm, (14.86 g), obv. turreted bust of Tyche to right, bead and reel border, rev. Zeus seated to left, holding Nike and sceptre to right downwards **LAODIKEWN/THGS IERAS* to left KAI AYTONOMOY, in inner left field EK, KA in exergue, monograms below throne, (S.5874, Morkholm Laodicea ad Mare (MN 28, 1983 No.15a, HGC 9, 1398). Slightly off centred on the obverse, otherwise good very fine/very fine, rare date.
